In Hispanic Civ, we are beginning the year with the theme of Families and Communities,” and our first focus will be communion itches centered around learning. In class today, we used an Answer Garden to visualize our class’s learning preferences and came to the conclusion that having fun, being motivated and collaborating with others are important to us, as a class, in order to create an environment conducive to learning. Students gave some specific suggestions for class activities and my goal will be to include those into our class time as much as possible.
As soon as the students in 21st Century Skills are done defining just what these skills are, they will also embark on a journey of self-discovery related to learning styles, personality and multiple intelligences. Knowing what works for you personally as a learner is vital to studying efficiently and effectively as well as keeping things fun! I hope that I have a classroom full of life-long learners!
